Welcome to the Da Vinci Academy Auction Blog!

Welcome to the Da Vinci Academy Auction Blog. Da Vinci Academy is an independent school for gifted and talented students located in Elgin, IL. We hold a benefit auction once a year to raise additional (very much needed) funds for the school.

We are just kicking off Auction activities for the 2009 auction, taking place at the Q Center in St. Charles on Saturday May 2, 2009. We hope you will join us at the event, and volunteer to help with the event.

If you are a parent of a current or prospective Da Vinci student looking for more information, stay tuned. We'll use "parent" labels on the posts that are particularly relevant for parents.

If you are a local business who has donated goods or services to us in the past, thank you so much! We are hopeful your business marketing plans include Da Vinci this year. Our auction representatives will be in touch with you soon, or feel free to use the comments section on any blog post to let us know to get in touch with you.

We hope you'll consider subscribing to this blog and checking back often. We'll post news of big donations as they are received, decisions the auction committee makes, volunteer opportunities, donations needed, and whatever else seems newsy for the parent and local business community. This is our first year using a blog as a communications vehicle for the auction, so we'd really appreciate your feedback. Please use the comments sections on blog posts to give us opinions on information you'd like to see, features to include, things to discontinue.

We look forward to the conversation!

  1. What a wonderful way to let our Community know all the great things the Auction Committee is working on for this year's Auction.

  2. Karen, Thank you for taking this great leap forward in publicizing our Auction. The Auction is hugely important to the success of our school. It is both a community celebration and major source of funding to support our academic program. I greatly appreciate all of the volunteer efforts that make this event possible.
